The most common scorpion found in your home is the striped bark scorpion. Scorpions are arachnids and are close relatives to ticks, mites and spiders.
They are nocturnal and like to hide in dry areas, under boxes, toys, closets, garages, bathroom, and dark areas. There main food source are small insects like, millipedes, spiders, flys, and crickets.
Scorpions regulate there heat through what is called thermoregulation, that being said scorpions do not like very hot or very cold tempatures. They are covered in a waxy cuticle that helps reduce water loss and temp loss.
There stings are painful and can produce swelling and itching.
